The OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) is a mandatory skills assessment for overseas nurses registering with the NMC to work in the UK. It tests clinical competencies across multiple stations. Specialist training dramatically increases your pass rate — our students achieve 95%+ success on their first attempt.
Training duration depends on your chosen course, time required for revision keeping in mind your personal and work commitments. We would generally recommend a period of 10 weeks from start of training to taking your OSCE exam.
We offer both options. The Virtual course is fully online and includes an online mock exam. Our blended course starts with online lessons to cover the theory part and then you attend 5 practice days to do hands-on practise using real clinical equipment in exam-simulated conditions. Tailored 1:1 training can be done virtually or in-person as per your needs.
Absolutely. We have successfully trained nurses from the UAE, Nigeria, Ghana, India, Philippines, Nepal, Romania, Kenya, Pakistan, US, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and many more. The OSCE is the same for all internationally educated nurses applying to register with the NMC, and our training is designed specifically for this audience.
We are hugely proud of our above 95% pass rate at first attempt which means most of our nurses pass first time. In the rare event that a nurse needs to resit, we work closely with them to identify what went wrong and prepare specifically for the resit.
Practical sessions use real clinical equipment to help nurses prepare for real OSCE exam conditions.
Yes — our courses include comprehensive OSCE study materials, revision resources and full mock exam practice with feedback to help build confidence before the exam.

We deliberately keep our class sizes small so that training feels personal and every nurse receives the attention and support they need. Small groups give you more time to practise each station, ask questions and receive individual feedback. Our students tell us this makes a real difference, particularly those who have previously trained in large groups where it can be harder to get support.
Yes. We provide specialist resit support for nurses who have previously trained elsewhere. We work with you to understand which stations you found difficult and why, then focus your preparation on those areas so you go into your resit feeling confident and well prepared.
Yes. We keep our training up to date with the latest NMC guidance and OSCE requirements, and we update our course content and materials whenever changes are introduced. This means you prepare for the exam as it is currently assessed.
There is no specific dress code. We want you to feel comfortable while you train, so please wear clothing that allows you to move and practise with ease. We provide all the materials and clinical equipment you will need on the day.
