About us

OSCE Nurse Training Cambridge focuses on delivering high quality OSCE Nurse training to individual overseas nurses and OSCE training services to healthcare organisations

We endeavour to offer a flexible service as we recognise our overseas nurses come to us from a variety of backgrounds and nursing experiencesWe fully understand the courageous decision our overseas nurses have taken to relocate to the UK and we take great pride in supporting them to pass OSCE exam quickly and efficiently, so they can concentrate on adjusting to their new life in the UK

OSCE Nurse Training Cambridge

Founder

Shalu is the founder and lead trainer at OSCE Nurse Training Cambridge (ONTC)

Prior to launching ONTC, Shalu led for the last 3 years one of the UK’s largest and most successful OSCE training programmes, achieving excellent course feedback and strong pass rates for Cambridge University Hospital Trust (CUH).

Shalu is a registered nurse with over 20 years nursing experience in both the UK’s private and NHS sector and is a Qualified Mentor and level 3 Assessor.

Shalu gained her qualifications and registration in nursing and midwifery in India, where she worked in accident and emergency wards as well as medical wards, before relocating to the UK in 1998.

Shalu then joined Spire Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest independent healthcare providers, completing her overseas nursing adaptation programme. Following which she progressed quickly through the organisation to lead, for over 10 years, the large and complex Outpatients Department at Spire Manchester. Heading up a delivery team of over 20 nurses, supporting 250 active consultants and covering over 20 medical specialities.

Shalu then relocated to Cambridge to pursue her true passion of nurse teaching and joined the CUH nurse education team. Here she specialised her skills and became lead trainer for the Trust’s OSCE programme.

Gem Martin

Gem is an internationally trained nurse, originally from the Philippines.  Gem came across to live and work in the UK in 2011, where she completed successfully OSCE training and exam in her first sitting.

Gem is a trainer for the OSCE programme and is experienced in helping candidates build their confidence, knowledge and skills needed to pass the OSCE exam.
